Pedestal Plan
The main part of the tour will consist of the Pedestal Plan, based on a concept by P. Struycken in 1990. It is a longterm project which consists of forty sculptures, placed on pedestals, located every 25 meters in the pedestrian area of the Grote Markstraat, Kalvermarkt and Spui. (Inter)nationally renowned contemporary Dutch sculptors like Hans van Bentem, Joep van Lieshout and Auke de Vries have produced a sculpture. This way the plan functions as a representative exhibition of contemporary Dutch sculpture. >> more info

Fiets&Stal
In 2000 twelve artists and designers from The Netherlands and abroad were invited to design guard houses for bicycle shelters in The Hague. Fiets&Stal is a longterm project, developed from the viewpoint of 'art', 'production' and 'use' respectively. In the design of the guard houses, each artist was required to follow a strict set of rules. Nevertheless all the guard houses are very different and vary from sober containers to sci-fi-inspired buildings. We'll pass guard houses by Dan Graham, Hertzsch&Page and Frank Halmans. >> more info
