InLoop/EnTry: Peter Bilak & Lukáš Timulak

Designer Peter Bilak collaborates with dancer/choreographer Lukas Timulak, and since 2004 created together more than 10 dance performances for various dance companies and theaters. Their recent collaboration is Offspring (2009) for NDT2, and currently they are working for the Gothenburg Opera in Sweden.

This small exhibition in the InLoop/EnTry presents three collaborative projects. For Experimenta 2009 exhibition in Lisbon, Bilak created Dance Writer, an interactive installation where viewers can type text which is converted to simple dance movements - creating their own choreographies. Bilak collaborated with Timulak on Dance for Print, a proposal for dance piece specifically optimised for the conditions and conventions of printed matter. The directness of the experience of movement is replaced by things impossible to do in live performance. Instead of documenting existing choreography, 16 pages of a magazine present an entirely new creation.
