On the occasion of the unveiling of the new sculpture by Femmy Otten at the Kalvermarkt, young guides will take you on a tour of their favourite works in The Sculpture Gallery. Look through their eyes and let yourself be surprised by what they have to tell you. There is one tour every hour. Each tour takes about 30 minutes..

Femmy Otten, And Life Is Over There
Unveiling Saturday 21 October 2017, 17.15 hrs

A few hours before the start of the Museumnacht Stroom Den Haag will unveil a new sculpture in The Sculpture Gallery, a route of 40 sculptures in the city center. The new addition is by The Hague sculptor Femmy Otten (1981). In 2013 she was the winner of the the Volkskrant Beeldende Kunst Prijs and was praised for her sensuous and poetic oeuvre. She creates a mythical world in which human figures are intertwined with mythological creatures, and she blends personal memories with themes from antiquity. In her work men and women effortlessly and lovingly merge into each other.
