Jeroen Funke (Emmen, 1976) studied at the Constantijn Huygens Academie in Kampen. Since 1997 he is an active member of comics collective Lamelos. He is the creator of the comic strip heroes Victor & Vishnu, and he is one of the editors of children's magazine Boekie Boekie.

In addition to creating comics and illustrations, Jeroen also loves to work with a sewing machine. He makes objects and monster costumes for a.o. record label Top Notch, music festivals like Lowlands and Solar, and for Stripdagen Haarlem. His objects and wall tapestries have been on view all over the Europe, from Barcelona to Budapest. Very soon they will travel to Switzerland for the launch of a series of exhibitions celebrating the 30-year anniversary of Lamelos. In 2011 Jeroen won the Jan Hanlo Essay award for his 9-page comic strip featuring Victor & Vishnu.

He is also one of the members of design collective de Cardboarders and in the spring of 2017 he will be part of an exhibition in the Centrale Bibliotheek in The Hague, together with Thé Tjong Khing and Kees de Boer. Jeroen loves to eat liquorice when he is drawing.
