See You In The Hague and PAI, the political arts initiative, organize a lecture by Florian Göttke, ‘Burning Images, Hanging Dissent', followed by a discussion. Florian Göttke will take you on a journey through American history in his treatise on the use of effigies in public protests, an in-depth research on the creation and destruction of these embodied images of the enemy that are put to death by hanging or burning.
