The publication Changing Cultures of Planning was awarded a bronze medal for Best Book Design in the World at the Leipzig Book Fair 2013.

The book presentation Changing Cultures of Planning includes a small exhibition, a lecture and a debate on urban projects in Rotterdam, Zürich, Nantes, the Randstad and Bordeaux.

The publication Changing Cultures of Planning intends to collect and exchange knowledge about recent innovative large-scale urban transformation processes in Europe, by investigating five urban developments. The publication is edited and published by Architecture Workroom Brussels

This evening a few actors of the planning and architectural scene will present their point of view about the role of design in innovative planning processes and the role of culture as a catalyst of such processes. The speakers are: Freek Persyn, Anne-Mie Devolder, Floris Alkemade and Wies Sanders. The evening will be introduced and moderated by Joachim Declerck (AWB) and the book will be introduced by Michiel Dehaene (associate professor at Gent University).

Changing Cultures of Planning is a project funded by the Creative Industries Fund NL, the Brussels Capital-Region and the Flemish Region.
