START UP 2: private meeting for KABK alumni

Special meeting for KABK alumni about exhibiting art works, from the perspective of the artist, the curator and the designer: You Display, I Display, We Display*.

Stroom Den Haag joins forces with the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) for a second START UP meeting. In this meeting we want to highlight various aspects of showing work. We do this by looking at both the previous and the upcoming exhibition at Stroom, i.e. Display Show and Another Reality. After Lina Bo Bardi. Francien van Westrenen (curator at Stroom) will briefly comment on the two exhibitions and talk about their public transformation period. Wendelien van Oldenborgh (artist) will share her thoughts on exhibiting, based on her work Lina Bo Bardi. The Didactic Room that is included in the exhibition. Finally, Herman Verkerk (EventArchitectuur, Head interior architecture KABK) will give examples of the strategies he uses when designing exhibitions and will talk with artists about the presentation RESET in Milan which takes place in the context of the Salone del Mobile.

17.15 - 18.35 hrs: Herman Verkerk (incl. a conversation with artists about RESET Milaan)
18.35 - 20.00 uur: Soup and bread

START UP 2 offers starting artists an informative, interesting and inspiring program. The meeting also gives them the opportunity to share knowledge, experience and insight and to meet the people behind the organizations.
